Global and local scale analysis of environmental policy of coastal, oceans and freshwater ecosystems. Our research and analysis are interdisciplinary (science and social science methodologies) and they address specific environmental problems with an emphases on oceans, coasts, and Indigenous traditional territories.

Using social science methodologies and empirically-based research, we produce research, reports and writing on matters related to Indigenous governance, resource use, policy and environmental governance.

We provide speaking services for a wide range of audiences and fora in the form of panel presentations, facilitation, speakers events, and workshops. Topics include ocean and marine policy, coastal governance, Indigenous governance, future oceans, climate change, collaborative water governance, and areas beyond national jurisdiction.
